A Video Interview With Me

Bookmark and Share

The website Boldfacers.com recently interviewed me, and the story (click here) has some of the best breastfeeding puns you’ll ever come across. It all starts with the headline, “She’s Stacked, Baby.” Now why didn’t I think of that?
If that’s not your thing…just surf around the site to find profiles of people doing pretty cool stuff in all sorts of fields…people like a sneaker designer, a landscape architect and a jazz club founder.

go andi….

I love the “double headlights” pose in the video clip. And there were some great puns in the article. I liked how the shelves were “engorged” with useless books.

Hello Andi! Your interview is great and you speak about your book just as I am now that I’ve read it. Mama Knows Breast is forthright, funny and light. I feel so reassured now that I’ve read that all the thoughts that have danced through my mind while I’m breastfeeding are right on.
My baby is now two months old and doing great.
Andy and Gayle live on the same floor and left a signed copy of your book in front of my door one day, with a note- “thought you’d enjoy this-from our sister-in-law.” I more than enjoyed it! I shared the book with my husband and plan to give it to my pregnant and soon-to-be pregnant friends. Thank you for writing it! -Kim

great article and interview. and you look fabulous! congratulations. you go, mama! :)

Love this! So fun to watch.

breastfeeding is not natural? You gotta be kidding me. It doesn’t come natural to a lot of moms because we live in a backwards society that is SO FAR AWAY from all things natural. A lot of us grow up never seeing how babies are supposed to be cared for. Instead we are showered by formular and pacifier advertising all around us. Even in kids cartoons you see babies with bottles and dummies.
so how is it supposed to come natural?
Have you heard about that gorilla mama who didn’t know how to nurse her first baby? During her second pregnancy they brought some moms in and asked them to nurse in front of the pregnant gorilla’s cage. She had no problem nursing her second baby. Mind you, gorillas can’t read, don’t browse internet and can’t call a La Leche Leage leader for help.
My point it is supposed to be learned from birth. When you remember yourself at your mom’s breast then your younger sister, then your baby bro, then your ant had a baby and nursed till he dropped, then you friend, then your sister got married and you attended her home birth and saw her baby crawl to breast and attach herself…
THEN it would come naturally.
Hopefully our kids will grow up this way and have no problem doing this very natural thing :)
