Hi Andi! I've received my Medela Freestyle and have recently tried it out. It's definitely a must-have! I love it to bits and have already recommended it to friends who are also breastfeeding mommies. Basically, I love it because its efficient, very user-friendly, light weight, compact, easy to clean, easy to assemble, has a rechargeable battery and thus is portable, has a digital screen, makes timing easy, has memory, comes with a contoured ice pack and storage bag, and of course I love the wonderful and practical tote bag! I also love the fact that it's hands-free and allows me to do other things while pumping. For a first-time mommy and first-time breast pump user, I got a total of almost 6oz using the Freestyle! The only setback from the kit that I received was that a couple of the bottles were badly scratched. But since everything else was in order, I've got no complaints. And I just love this wonderful pump! I highly recommend it to working mommies out there. Thank you so much, Andi and Medela, for giving me one of the greatest gifts for my baby. God bless!

Hi Andi! Thank you for giving me the chance to participate and win the Medela Freestyle. I was and still am really excited upon hearing the good news. It's great to know people at Mamaknowsbreast and Medela care about women and their needs as they venture into motherhood. As a reader from Malaysia, I believe your quest in spreading knowledge on the importance of breastfeeding is truly inspiring! I'm sure you've touched the hearts of women all around the world. Keep up the great work! Thank you and God bless! :)

It's amazing how fast pumping becomes part of your life. Last August I delivered my son at 30 weeks, and he wasn't even allowed to put him to the breast for four weeks. For the first three months, I pumped 7-8 times a day, including once in the middle of the night, until he could latch.
My clearest memory of those early days in which my milk was all I could give him is of sitting in our dark living room, pump chugging away, at 5 in the morning, every night for weeks on end, watching videos and looking at pictures of my son.
Insurance didn't cover a dime of the pump I rented for six months, nor the pump I bought. I still pump 3 times a day to provide the milk he drinks at daycare. I sincerely hope I won't have to exclusively pump next time for any length of time!

I am a qualified midwife and after a few years of waiting, i am expecting my first child. I feel i have it all planned out!! I am determined to succeed with breast feeding and have worked with mums instructing them on the use of the medela pump in the Neo natal unit. We have had numerous pumps but this one was always my personal favourite as you could see the mums were relaxed using it. I am so excited about my future motherhood and ye would make my pregnancy by supplying me with this pump as I know i would make use of it.... please consider me!!
A cant wait to be Mother

My best pumping story is not about me. A friend adopted a premie baby who was born at 25 weeks. She was able to go around to all of her friends who bf and they all pumped regularly for her for months. This baby was raised on breastmilk until he was old enough that they didn't have to worry about survival. Then some of the mothers still came by on a daily basis and bf-ed him themselves.

I was unable to breastfeed with my first. I am going to try everything I can to be able to with my second, including several visits with a lactation consultant. I would love to have this pump to help with this.

My best pumping story: I had always pumped in the bathroom of every place I worked at. I even pumped in bathroom restaurants on the rare nights out. Then one day, one beautiful day, I started a new job and they had a pumping ROOM!!! It was heavenly! I got something like twice my normal amount out in half the time! I'll never forget that place.

I'm due this coming October and I've been reading up on how to provide the best for my baby. My mom exclusively breastfed my brothers and sisters and I, and I'd love to do the same for my baby. The only difference is that my mom didn't have to go to work, whereas I do. So, I've been reading up on breast pumps and I've found that Medela is the best in the market! But it's quite pricey and I don't know if I can afford it. That's why I was ecstatic when I found this contest. It's like a blessing in disguise. A lot of great information and the chance to win a Medela Freestyle Breastpump. It's the most practical solution because it's lightweight and compact, yet has everything I would need to include breast pumping in my daily schedule. I've also been reading on bpa-free bottles and to know Medela has taken this into account just gives me more confidence in the name itself. I really hope to win so that I can always provide the best for my baby. PS: During our last checkup, we found out our baby's a boy! :)
